IL Forno is unquestionably the most original Italian restaurant in not only Cabo San Lucas, but all of the Southern Baja California Region. Born in Milan, Italy and raised in Napoli, Chef Luigi Cavanna’s passion for creating and serving delicious Italian cuisine is unmatched in Los Cabos. ”I grew up on an Italian farm, crushing grapes, and tomatoes and looking after the cows and other animals on the farm,” said the 52 year old Chef Luigi, who has traveled the world serving his tasty brand of Italian dishes in Cartagena and Medellin, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rico, Peru, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Atlantic City. ”I arrived in Cabo during 2015, but I have been in Mexico for 20 years,” he added.

Some of the outstanding and highly recommended IL Forno menu selections include the Mediterranean bruschetta, Caprese salad, fried calamari, and meatball marinara with spicy sauce, from their starter menu, each affordably priced between $8 USD and $12 dollars. All their delicious medium sized pizzas are handcrafted with local organic products and flour that is imported from Napoli, Italy and baked in wood fired oven. Delectable pizzas that include everything from the meat lovers, shrimp, New York style, vegetarian and bella Italia choices, among others.

Their pasta options feature appetizing dishes to choose from that include traditional spaghetti, fettuccine with basil, ravioli with spinach, gnocchi with shrimp, and even lobster filled ravioli. Dinner entrees of chicken marsala, chicken parmesan, chicken piccata and beef fillet in red wine sauce,wood oven cooked salmon, grilled octopus and grilled shrimp, are tasty servings not to miss.
