The opening ceremony of Museo México

This February 17th was celebrated the inauguration of Museo México, a space that aspires to show the history and culture of Mexico’s people to the world.

After cutting the ceremonious ribbon, authorities, press, and attendees took seats surrounding and stage that was the recipient of the evening’s event.

With words that refused to leave her throat, Patricia Rocha, Press. Dr. of Museo Mexico welcomed us into the project she’s leading. Authorities followed with a hopeful message that sounded loud and clear.

“A hotel turning into a museum is a victory for Los Cabos”

Everyone aware of how important spaces like these are for a community, and hopeful about the impact this place may have in sharing Los Cabos, and Mexico’s history and culture with the rest of the world.

As the evening progressed the event turned into a party, traditional food and drinks were served as we appreciated different performances in celebration of this victory of Mexicos culture. First, Carla Acosta Villavicencio, soprano, and Dr. of the school of music of BCS performed a piece of regional Mexican music. This was followed by traditional dances by the folkloric ballet Mexico (sharing traditional pastries before the presentation) and Calpulli Yenecamúha.

As the evening turned dark and the party came to life a group of Mariachis took the stage to round the celebration.
