San Pedro Beach, Playa San Pedro, or Playa las Palmas
Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico
From Cabo San Lucas, drive north on Highway 19 past the farming village of Pescadero until you reach Km. 58 and see the old agricultural research station (Campo Experimental Todos Santos) on the right hand side of the highway. The access is difficult to find as the highway is elevated more that the shoulder. Look for the access road near an electrical pole. Access may be easier if you turn around at the old Campo Experimental Todos Santos and look for the access road. Follow the well maintained dirt access road on your left 1.3 miles and it will take you almost to the beach of Playa San Pedro (also known as Playa Las Palmas). – 03 Feb 07 – jat
There is a parking area about 200 yards from the beach.
This is definitely one of the most picturesque sites on the Pacific Ocean side and well worth the drive. San Pedro is a quarter mile expanse of beach bordered by a reed lagoon and protected by rock promontories at each end. Groves of palm trees frame this gorgeous strand of beach.
